Ernesto Teodoro Moneta, “Letter to unknown correspondant,” 20 October 1879.
(Dear Sir, recommended by Galanti, you cannot but be welcome to our editorial team. I’m sending you the newspaper. Your telegraphic costs will be reimbursed to you. It should be understood that if You [illegible – or Fermo] weren’t to offer telegram topics, after two months we will suspend your newspaper subscription. Your telegraph dispatches should not be sent before 9:30 a.m.). Unpublished letter (possibly to a Mr. Pardini, teacher in Lucca).
